Become a Chapter Member

We welcome all individuals residing or working in our covered region to join our Chapter of Women In Defense. Membership in WID is open to all professional women and men whose primary professional activities are related to national defense or support any aspect of national security. All WID members are automatically members of the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) at no additional cost.

How to Join as an Individual

  1. Go to WomenInDefense.net/Join
  2. Select your type and length of membership
  3. Follow the prompts to enter your information, including your primary zip code to determine your Chapter affiliation
  4. Complete your registration to become an individual member of WID and your local Chapter
  5. Enjoy the many benefits of WID membership and Chapter affiliation!

WID's $40 annual membership fee offers a variety of benefits.

NETWORKING & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

We provide a forum for networking and professional development programs for defense and national security professionals at the national and local levels.

MEMBERSHIP RATES & NDIA MEMBERSHIP

Discounted member rates at Women In Defense and National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) events that save more than the price of WID membership dues. Membership to the NDIA, a $30 value, includes a monthly subscription to National Defense Magazine.

Membership Rates

WID membership for individuals costs $40 per year. WID offers complimentary one-year memberships to all currently serving military and government employees. After the first year, annual dues are $40.

WID Greater Boston Chapter members receive 25% off annual subscription to Innovation Women.

GIVING BACK & SCHOLARSHIPS

An opportunity to give back to the profession through educational and networking events, mentoring, and community service activities. Support the WID Scholar Program, formerly HORIZONS, which has made 116 awards of more than $180,000 to deserving recipients pursuing education toward a career in national security since 1990.

ENGAGEMENTS

Members are strongly encouraged to participate in meetings, seminars, and committee activities to ensure a mutually beneficial relationship between themselves and the organization.
