Kimberly Bergner

Ms. Kimberly Bergner is the Senior Director for Strategic Growth for BAE Systems Integrated Defense Solutions business area. Ms. Bergner’s experience includes over 22 years’ experience managing the execution and strategic growth of complex, multi-million dollar software development, integration, production, and sustainment programs for the U.S. Department of Defense and Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) customers. 

Ms. Bergner joined BAE Systems in 2008 as a Program Manager for the US Navy’s Airborne Maritime Fixed Joint Tactical Radio System program, overseeing the design, integration, installation, and testing of the C4ISR systems onboard US Navy surface ships.  Following that, she led the design, production, integration, installation, and sustainment efforts for the US Army’s Automated Installation Entry (AIE) Program and Army Corps of Engineers’ Electronic Security Systems (ESS) Program.  In addition, she managed the Fuel Automation Programs for the DLA, coordinating a globally disperse team providing industrial control system installation and maintenance at over 450 DLA fuel facilities across the world.  Ms. Bergner served as a Strategic Capture Director for the Air & Space Force Solutions business area, responsible for all aspects of large, complex capture activities for Cyber and Enterprise IT. Prior to her current role as Growth Leader, she lead the Information Warfare and Automated Systems Business Unit, headquarter in Charleston, SC.

 

Prior to joining BAE Systems, Ms. Bergner served as Integrated Product Team Lead at Lockheed Martin Maritime Systems and Sensors in Moorestown, NJ, responsible for project management and technical leadership for systems integration and software development projects on multiple US. Navy maritime contracts. 

Ms. Bergner earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia and a Master of Business Administration degree from LeBow College of Business, Drexel University.  She is a graduate of BAE Systems Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) though IMD Business School in Switzerland, BAE Systems Growth Leadership Development Program, and the BAE Systems Amplify program.  Ms. Bergner serves on the Advisory Board for The Citadel’s School of Engineering Leadership and Program Management and the Executive Council for Women in Defense, Palmetto Chapter.  She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
