Staci Pelland

Staci was raised in a military family.  Her passion for supporting the military was fueled through her experiences as the daughter of a Korean & Vietnam War veteran.  She enlisted in the US Air Force immediately after high school and rose to the rank of Technical Sergeant with 9 years of military service. While on active duty, Staci was selected for two special duty assignments.  As the Executive Assistant to Charleston AFB Senior Enlisted Advisor, she launched the First Six Association, developed and instituted the Command Retreat Program and coordinated the Quarterly/Annual Awards Program. She was hand selected to serve as a 437th Airlift Wing Protocol Officer, where she served under 3 installation commanders. Within days after 9/11, was mobilized from USAF Reserve status and deployed with the 315th Operations Support Flight Intelligence Office providing Information Technology (IT) management in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM and the Humanitarian Relief Operations (HUMRO) in Afghanistan.

Following her military service, Staci has served in both defense contracting and as a NO-05 (civil service), supporting the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic Code 5.8 as a Senior Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert and Manager.  Staci has remained focused throughout her entire career on technical projects with direct operational impact to the warfighter.  She also had the distinct honor of establishing a Veteran Workforce Initiative for NIWC, which included the development of three programs:  Operation Warfighter internships for active duty Wounded, Ill, and Injured Service Members; Mentor, Assist, Train, Educate and Support (MATES) program to aid in military transition; and a Veteran Community of Interest (COI). 

She has been a member, contributed to, and/or held positions on various military or Veterans councils or non-profits, to include:

  •  Founding Member and Secretary, First Six Association, Charleston AFB
  • SC 1st Congressional District Military and Veteran Affairs Advisory Board, appointed by Congressman Henry Brown

  • Wind Sports for Wounded Warriors (WS4WW)
  • Tri-County Veteran Support Network

Staci served as a Director at Oracle Cerner supporting the Veterans Administration Electronic Health Record implementation and is currently supporting US Navy PEO MLB as a Senior Security Solutions Engineer for with Imagine, Believe, Realize (IBR). 

Staci is a disabled Veteran and Life Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 3137.
